Feb 1/2: Trump's Speech
  • Print, read, listen, and annotate Trump’s Inaugural Address.  As you do:
    (#1)  Be sure to make note of any rhetorical devices or interesting uses of language.
    (#2)  Highlight every instance of ethos in blue, pathos in pink, and logos in yellow (or whatever color system works for you. 
  • Then answer these questions.

  • Read pages 145-165 of Fahrenheit 451 (click here for on online PDF of the book; in this version, it's 67 to end.  Start at the "Half an hour later" and read until you finish the book). Record your thoughts in a Double Entry Journal; record at least 5 quotes.  
  • Then write a one-page response with textual evidence on the following question: Is the ending hopeful?
